Candice Cunningham has been dancing and
performing nationally and internationally her entire life. Her
skills have been developed in a wide array of dance, including
Mexican Folkloriko, Ballet, Modern, Tap, Ballroom, Salsa,
Polynesian and Acrobatics. Ms. Cunningham
began her Polynesian studies at the age of thirteen and by fifteen
was making her professional debut. She moved to Hawaii at the
age of eighteen to work aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines' The
Wind for Tihati Productions, and later relocated to
Paris, France to continue her work as a Polynesian dancer and
add Cabaret to her repertoire. While in Paris,
Candice was featured in the nationally televised French program
Vivement Dimanche and had the opportunity to
perform for French celebrities Big Carlos and Dany Brillant.
In the United States, Ms. Cunningham has performed for numerous
celebrities such as Matt LeBlanc, Lou Diamond Phillips and Tito
Jackson, as well as for the not-for-profit Make-a-Wish
Foundation and Cops-for-Causes. Candice
studied dance at Moorpark College in Ventura
County, California, where she had not only been a featured performer
in numerous annual concerts and revues, but also received several
merit and recognition awards for her efforts. During her time
at Moorpark College, she additionally had the opportunity to
study under notable Los Angeles-based choreographer Holly
Johnston, who was recently named one of Dance Magazine's
"Top 25 to Watch in 2007." Before relocating to Philadelphia
Candice had the opportunity to work on board Celebrity Cruise
Lines as an Ambassadress of their Hawaiian Cultural Enrichment
Program, where she performed and taught traditional Hawaiian
dance and culture. She also visited Japan where she toured U.S
military bases throughout the country where she shared the "Aloha
Spirit" with American Soldiers, their families and Japanese
civilians as well. Outside of her life in performing arts, Ms.
Cunningham is continually studying foreign language and has
plans to transfer to a university to receive a degree in foreign
language and obtain a teaching credential. Candice has enjoyed
the travels that her love of dance has afforded her and plans
to continue such work in the future.
