Lauren Fine was born and raised in Freehold, NJ where she began her dance training at the age of three. She continued her training at the Freehold Twp. High School of the Performing Arts as well as studying in NYC with Charles Kelly,Frank Hatchett, and Fred Benjamin. She then received a BA in Dance from The University of Maryland where she also student taught and performed. After realizing her strong desire to teach, Lauren went on to become certified in Dance Education from Towson State University. She then continued her teaching and choreographing career in New Jersey, Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, and Texas. She was the Director of Dance at The Henrico County Performing Arts High School Program in Richmond VA. She was also the head of the Feet First's Early Release program (an intensive program for high school students) in Bethesda, Maryland. Her choreography of Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters for Dance Theater of Harlem's Fabian Barnes was presented at The Kennedy Center. Ms. Fine has also begun two jazz dance companies for children and teens, "Jazzworks" and "In Motion". She also continues to perform in community theater and university concerts. She currently teaches in several studios and choreographs for The Lower Merion High School Cheerleaders and for Cynwyd Elementary School.
