Lindsay Miller is a 2006 graduate of DeSales University,
Center Valley, PA, holding her Bachelor of Arts degree in dance
after having received a dance scholarship into the program. Lindsay
ultimately plans to attend graduate school to pursue dance education.
She began dancing at age three and was trained in all genres of
dance at Dance Works Studio in Quakertown, PA. In addition to
her college technique courses, Lindsay has taken courses of study
in kinesiology for dancers, body conditioning, dance history,
and dance composition. As a member of the DSU Dance Touring Company,
she has toured the Lehigh Valley and has performed in student,
faculty, and guest artist works throughout her four-years as a
dance major. Lindsay’s choreography has also been featured
in DeSales Young Choreographers Series. Her past experience in
working with children and young adults include: a position at
a Center Valley summer camp where she choreographed the final
dance performance and was in charge of art activities throughout
the summer and also a position choreographing jazz/funk works
for the Quakertown High School Dance Team. She has also attended
and performed at the American College Dance Festival for the past
two years. In July 2005, she had the chance to attend Pro-Danza
Italia/USA Summer Dance Workshop in Tuscany, Italy. While overseas,
she studied modern dance and jump rhythm jazz technique with professionals,
Lynda Davis and Billy Siegenfeld. Lindsay is also proud that she
was chosen to be part of professional choreographer Sean Curran’s
residency in winter 2006 at DeSales and performed his piece, “Another
Metal Garden”, on campus. Joining the teaching staff at
ContempraDance is definitely a highlight to Lindsay who looks
forward to sharing her passion of dance with all her future students.
