Luis began the love of hip hop in high school. He performed
with Versatile hip hop group winning many talents
shows throughout the area. His group was faced with great opportunities
such as, being two time winners at the Apollo
and 106 & Park; opened up for several artists like 50
cent, Amerie, Wayne Wonder,
Fat Joe, Nina Sky, 3LW and much more, as well as performing
backup for singer and songwriters Corey “Latif”
Williams and Jasmine J.
Witnessing his potential growth and maturity Luis began networking
with other dance companies and other organizations in the city
of Philadelphia. Some of these companies include Clyde Evans,
Chosen Dance Co. Renee Harris’s, Pure Movements, and Philadelphia’s
own, Philly Movement Dance Co.
Luis soon developed a strong fan base and enough respect in
the business to start his own dance company. Now in the year
2007 Luis is still part owner of Versatile Dance Co. and is
also owner of 2nd Wind ENT; along with the help of former Versatile
Dance Co. member Andreas “DreDay” Johnson.
Today you can witness for yourself how Luis got the name “Nitro
Boogie.” With his stunning personality; rubber band like
breaking moves; hard hits, smooth waves and creativity in popping;
amazing footwork in house; super sense of humor in locking;
and always high energy and a fun person to watch in all “skools”
of Hip Hop both old and new. His passion and big heart for dancing
makes every show not just a performance but an experience.
