Kids Dance

Tap Dance is an exciting combination of rhythmical and intricate foot moves.

Tap shoes are required for this class.

Tap for Kids

Predance Classes for under 7 years of age- all of ContempraDance Center’s predance classes provide an intro to tap dance except for Monday predance at 4:45.

Jazz & Tap 1 - This is a class for students aged 7 to 10. Students will learn the vocabulary, basic foot moves and rhythms necessary for eventually developing combinations. Each class meets once a week for 45 minute session. For kids with 0-2 years of tap experience or for kids leaving pre-dance that wish to continue to pursue tap.

Jazz & Tap 1A - This is a class for students aged 7 to 9 with at least 1-year of Jazz and Tap dancing experience. Students will learn additonal Jazz moves as well as furthering their footwork in the Tap sessions. Each class meets once a week for an hour each session. This is an advanced Beginner level class.

Tap 3 - This class is for ages 11 and older with at least 3 years of tap dance training. Students will learn the basic foot moves and rhythms necessary for developing various combinations. Each class meets once a week for 1 hour each session. This is an Intermediate level class.
